    CORPS LIFTS SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR ARKANSAS RIVER

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers has lifted the small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second. Even though flows have receded below that threshold, Corps officials urge boaters to always use caution when on the river.

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers’ Little Rock District reminds interested parties that it is hosting a public workshop April 17 on the draft Three River Feasibility Study and Environmental Assessment.

    HIGHWAY 25 BRIDGE CLOSURE ACROSS GREERS FERRY DAM RESCHEDULED

    HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The lane closure originally scheduled for April 15 and 16 has been rescheduled for April 22 and 23. The Corps of Engineers will close both lanes of Highway 25 across Greers Ferry Dam from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. April 22 and 23, weather permitting, to install equipment needed to refurbish the tainter gates. However, one lane will open each night from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. Alternative route will be Highways 16 and 92 around the west side of the lake.

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Army Corps of Engineers issued a small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Recent rains in Oklahoma and Arkansas have caused flows to rise. During high flows, strong currents and large debris can threaten the safety of pleasure craft.

    BRANSON, Mo. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will open six of its recreation areas on Table Rock Lake Saturday, April 1. These parks include Campbell Point, Cape Fair, Cricket Creek, Mill Creek, Old Highway 86, and Indian Point.
