MKARNS - The Colonel Charles D. Maynard Lock (No. 5) NM 86.3 is closed to traffic due to high flows. The lock will reopen as the flows drop to safe navigation levels.

CORPS BEGINS RELEASES AT DEQUEEN DAM
DEQUEEN, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District began a 400 cubic foot per second release at 2:45 a.m. today from DeQueen Dam.
CORPS ADVISES PUBLIC TO USE CAUTION IN FLOODED AREAS
MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – Because of heavy rains and rising lake levels, the Army Corps of Engineers is advising visitors to use caution in flooded areas at parks, boat launch ramps and at some access roads around Norfork and Bull Shoals lakes.
HIGHWAY 178 BRIDGE ACROSS BULL SHOALS DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE
MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers will close both lanes of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Dec. 30 and Dec. 31 to remove equipment needed to refurbish the tainter gates on Bull Shoals Dam.
CORPS WARNS PUBLIC OF HIGH FLOWS ON ARKANSAS RIVER
The Army Corps of Engineers warns the public that flows on the Arkansas River are anticipated to reach and possibly exceed flows for the May-June flood event because of persistent rainfall.
