One lane of Highway 60 across Toad Suck Dam to temporarily close

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is scheduling a one lane closure for the Highway 60 bridge across Toad Suck Dam from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on June 2, 2026, for a routine bridge inspection.

Allard assumes command of USACE’s Little Rock District

Col. Walter T. Allard assumes command of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District during a May 22 ceremony at the Robinson Center in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. He assumes command from Col. Eric R. Swenson, who is departing to take command of the USACE New York District.

Dr. Darrin Curtis was recently named deputy for Programs and Project Management and chief of the Programs and Project Management Division for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District. Curtis replaces Craig Pierce, who retired from federal service.
