    CORPS EXTENDS PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD FOR TABLE ROCK SHORELINE MANAGEMENT PLAN UPDATE

    BRANSON, Mo. – The Army Corps of Engineers is extending the public comment period until Sept. 15 for Draft Table Rock Lake Shoreline Management Plan, Draft Environmental Assessment, Draft Finding of No Significant Impact, and 2014 Table Rock Lake Master Plan.

    CORPS LIFTS SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR ARKANSAS RIVER

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers has lifted the small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second. Even though flows have receded below that threshold, Corps officials urge boaters to always use caution when on the river.

    HIGHWAY 25 BRIDGE ACROSS GREERS FERRY DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE

    HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers will close both lanes of Highway 25 across Greers Ferry Dam, weather permitting, from 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. Aug. 21 and again on Aug. 22, if needed, to install equipment on Greers Ferry Dam. During the closure equipment will be reinstalled to resume tainter gate maintenance that was interrupted because of high water earlier this year. Alternative route will be Highways 16 and 92 around the west side of the lake.

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – One lane of Highway 178 bridge across Bull Shoals Dam will be closed for a periodic bridge inspection from 7:30 a.m. till 5 p.m. Aug. 9, weather permitting.
