    Corps to Host Public Workshop about Former Camp Robinson

    The Army Corps of Engineers will host a public workshop from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9 at the Hampton Inn conference room, 810 Museum Rd, in Conway, Ark. The public workshop will provide details on an upcoming munitions removal project at the former Camp Robinson.

    Corps urges visitors to practice water safety, wear life jackets

    Labor Day Weekend is among the busiest weekends of the year at lakes and rivers, and officials of the Army Corps of Engineers say they expect this year will be no exception. However, they warn visitors to practice good water safety habits to avoid accidents that could result in serious injury or death.

    Army Corps of Engineers Organizing Litter Pickup for Sept. 6 Volunteers Needed to Help Keep Nimrod Lake Beautiful

    Volunteers are needed to participate in the Army Corps of Engineers’ annual fall litter pickup Sept. 6 at Nimrod Lake. Volunteers are asked to meet between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. at Carden Point Park pavilion to register for the cleanup and be assigned an area around the lake to pick up litter.
