    CHRISTMAS TREE FISH COVER PROGRAM ANNOUNCED

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. -- What do you do with the Christmas tree when the holiday is over? Complete your gift giving by donating your discarded tree for fish cover on Bull Shoals or Norfork lakes. Many local anglers sink discarded Christmas trees to improve fish habitat.

    CORPS REPAIRS TO ALTER MINIMUM FLOW RELEASE SATURDAY FROM BULL SHOALS DAM

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark.-The Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District will be inspecting and testing recently completed construction work from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Dec. 13 in the Bull Shoals power switchyard. For safety reasons, the dam cannot produce hydroelectric power during this inspection.

    NAV NOTICE SWL 14-39 MKARNS-MPLD EMPHASIS ON DRAFT DEPTH IN THE NAVIGATION PASS-UPDATE

    Montgomery Point Lock & Dam - Mariners were previously notified in Navigation Notice SWL 14-31, that one of the ten crest gates in the navigation pass was experiencing problems; it was partially raised at elevation 105 and could not be lowered further. This gate currently remains in the partially raised position.

    BEAVER LAKE MASTER PLAN REVISIONS REQUIRE TEMPORARY HALT TO SHORELINE MANAGEMENT REQUESTS

    ROGERS, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers’ Beaver Project Office will temporarily suspend shoreline activity requests for Beaver Lake beginning Feb. 1, 2015 until spring 2016 to establish a baseline of the lake for officials to use while revising its 38-year-old master plan. New requests must be received or postmarked by Jan. 31, 2015.

    TABLE ROCK SHORELINE MANAGEMENT PLAN REVISION REQUIRES TEMPORARY HALT TO SHORELINE MANAGEMENT REQUESTS

    BRANSON, Mo. -- The Army Corps of Engineers’ Table Rock Project Office will temporarily suspend shoreline activity requests beginning Feb. 1, 2015 to establish a baseline number of permits and docks on the lake for officials to use while revising its 19-year-old shoreline management plan. New requests must be received or postmarked by Jan. 31, 2015.

    Low water expected in coming weeks in Little Red River below Greers Ferry Dam

    The Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District is advising anglers, homeowners and others who use the Little Red River that releases from Greers Ferry Dam were reduced Oct. 15 and are expected to remain minimal during at least the next 30 days.

    Rob Roy Drawbridge - The United States Coast Guard (USCG) has issued a Broadcast Notice to Mariners (BNM) indicating that the Rob Roy drawbridge (NM 67.4) will be closed to navigation on November 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to conduct repairs.
