    Dardanelle L&D - Dardanelle Lock and Dam (No. 10) NM 205.5 will be closed to navigation traffic on February 18, 2015, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This closure is to repair the downstream river wall miter gate strut arm.

  • CORPS LIFTS SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR LOWER ARKANSAS RIVER

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers has lifted the small craft advisory for the lower Arkansas River. Advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second. Even though flows have receded below that threshold, Corps officials urge boaters to always use caution when on the river.
  • FISH COVER PERMITS AVAILABLE

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers’ Mountain Home Project Office is offering a limited number of fish cover permits for Norfork and Bull Shoals lakes. A fish cover permit allows an individual to cut up to six cedar trees, six inches or smaller in diameter at the stump, from designated areas of the shoreline and sink them into the lake for fish habitat.

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Army Corps of Engineers issued a small craft advisory for the Arkansas River from Little Rock, Ark. downstream. Recent heavy rains caused flows to rise. During high flows, strong currents and large debris can threaten the safety of pleasure craft.

  • CORPS REPAIRS TO ALTER MINIMUM FLOW RELEASE SATURDAY FROM BULL SHOALS DAM

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark.-The Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District will be inspecting and testing recently completed construction work from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Dec. 13 in the Bull Shoals power switchyard. For safety reasons, the dam cannot produce hydroelectric power during this inspection.
