CORPS SCHEDULES TIMBER STAND IMPROVEMENTS AT JFK PARK

HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Greers Ferry Lake Project Office will conduct timber stand improvements in John F. Kennedy Park Dec. 16 through Feb. 28, 2014. Camp area “D” will be closed until the timber harvest and cleanup is complete.

ONE LANE OF HIGHWAY 177 ACROSS NORFORK DAM TO CLOSE FOR DAM MAINTENANCE

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – One lane of Highway 177 across Norfork Lake will be closed at 7 a.m. Monday and remain closed through March 31, 2015 to conduct maintenance on the dam’s 12 tainter gates.

Nav Notice SWL 13-50 Lock 7 Intermittent Delays Possible

MURRAY L&D - Mariners are advised that intermittent delays may be experienced at Murray Lock and Dam (No. 7) NM 125.4, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily, through November 6, 2013. These delays are to allow divers to repair the miter gate pintle ball grease lines.

Corps waives day use fees Nov. 11 for veterans and their families

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- To commemorate Veterans Day the Little Rock District of the Army Corps of Engineers will join Corps districts nationwide and waive day use fees at its recreation areas Nov. 11 for veterans, active, reserve and guard service members and their families.

CORPS REMINDS PUBLIC ABOUT SPECIAL YOUTH MUZZLELOADER DEER HUNT

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers reminds the public that it is still taking applications through Nov. 15 for a special muzzleloader youth deer hunt to be held Dec. 14-15 at Ozark Isle Park area on Bull Shoals Lake. Ten permits will be issued to hunter education graduates, 15 years old and under.
