    MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 15-81 Lock 13 - Notice of Lock Closure

    MKARNS - The James W. Trimble Lock (No. 13) NM 292.8 is closed to traffic due to high flows. The lock will reopen as the flows drop to safe navigation levels.

    BEAVER LAKE REDUCES DOWNSTREAM FLOODING

    Although near record releases are being made from Beaver Dam this week, the Army Corps of Engineers emphasizes that Beaver Lake and the other White River system lakes have dramatically reduced flood damage. Flows below Beaver alone would have been more than double the current release.

    CORPS WARNS PUBLIC OF HIGH FLOWS ON ARKANSAS RIVER

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Army Corps of Engineers warns the public of high flows on the Arkansas River. Recent heavy rains caused flows to rise. Flows are anticipated to reach and possibly exceed flows for the May-June flood event.

    Corps of Engineers announces changes in recreation day use fees

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers announced today that beginning Jan. 1, 2016, the recreation day use fees charged for boat launches and swimming beaches managed by the Corps will change to a simpler fee structure. The fee for a Corps annual pass to these facilities will also change.
