No passing is advised while transiting through this reach. Note that the endpoints of this reach have adjusted slightly from those in the original Navigation Notice SWL 16-09.

    MKRNS - Toad Suck Ferry Lock (No. 8) NM 155.9 has reopened to Navigation traffic. The lock was closed due to high flows on the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System. The flows have now dropped to safe levels to operate the lock.

    MKARNS - Lock No. 2 (NM 13.3) has reopened to Navigation traffic. The lock was closed due to a projected backflow of the Arkansas Post Canal caused by the rising water elevation of the Mississippi River. The water elevations have now dropped to safe levels
