HIGHWAY 178 BRIDGE ACROSS BULL SHOALS DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers will close both lanes of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Dec. 7 and 8 to install equipment needed to refurbish the tainter gates on Bull Shoals Dam. Once the necessary equipment is in place, one lane will be open while the rehab work is performed. The single lane closure is scheduled through May 2017.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Army Corps of Engineers issued a small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Recent heavy rains caused flows to rise. During high flows, strong currents and large debris can threaten the safety of pleasure craft.

BRANSON, Mo. – The Army Corps of Engineers is reopening the public comment period for Table Rock Lake’s Shoreline Management Plan revision. The additional comment period will begin Nov. 30 and run through Dec. 31.

Corps lifts small craft advisory for Arkansas River

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers has lifted the small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second. Even though flows have receded below that threshold, Corps officials urge boaters to always use caution when on the river.
