    PLAINVIEW, Ark. – With the turn of the New Year, many people will soon be thinking about spring and summer camping and fishing trips. The Army Corps of Engineers at Nimrod and Blue Mountain lakes wants to inform you about some changes to the reservable sites at both lakes.

    MKRNS - Toad Suck Ferry Lock (No. 8) NM 155.9 has reopened to Navigation traffic. The lock was closed due to high flows on the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System. The flows have now dropped to safe levels to operate the lock.
  • MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 16-07 Lock 2 - Reopened

    MKARNS - Lock No. 2 (NM 13.3) has reopened to Navigation traffic. The lock was closed due to a projected backflow of the Arkansas Post Canal caused by the rising water elevation of the Mississippi River. The water elevations have now dropped to safe levels

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. - The Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District will begin spillway releases from Bull Shoals Dam Saturday, to evacuate stored flood water.

    MKARNS - Arthur V. Ormond Lock (No. 9) NM 176.9 has reopened to Navigation traffic. The lock was closed due to high flows on the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System. The flows have now dropped to safe levels to operate the lock.

    MKARNS - Emmett Sanders Lock (No. 4) NM 66.0 and Murray Lock (No. 7) NM 125.4 have reopened to Navigation traffic.
  • ONE LANE OF HIGHWAY 178 BRIDGE ACROSS BULL SHOALS DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers will close one lane of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam from 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Jan. 8 to remove hatch covers for refurbishment.
