LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers invites youth 15 and under to participate in a free fishing derby at Willow Beach Park, just off of the Arkansas River. The derby will be held from 9 a.m. until noon, July 23. Registration begins at 8 a.m.
Participants should bring their own rod, reel, tackle and bait.
Willow Beach Park is located at 11698 Blue Heron Parkway, Scott, Ark.
The event is co-sponsored by the Army Corps of Engineers, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Academy Sport and Outdoors, Bass Pro Shops and McSwain’s Sports Center.
