    MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 25-58 Safety Zone Military Exercise NM 289.0 – NM 292.8

    To ensure the safety of life and property during the military river crossing exercise, a Safety Zone will be established by the U.S. Coast Guard for the Arkansas River from NM 289.0 to NM 292.8.

    USACE works to fix stuck gate at Dardanelle Lock and Dam

    Teams with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are working to repair a stuck spillway gate at Dardanelle Lock and Dam on the Arkansas River.

    MKARNS Nav Notice 25-59 Lock 10 Unscheduled Closure

    Dardanelle Lock (No. 10) NM 205.5 is currently closed to traffic due to dangerous cross currents downstream of the dam. The spillway release configuration is currently restricted due to mechanical issues resulting in concentrated flows that present a danger to traffic in the downstream approach. Crews are onsite and an additional notice will be submitted when the issue is resolved.

    USACE announces public workshops for farmers in the White River basin

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host two workshops from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 2 and 3 to meet with lower White River Basin farmers and discuss this year’s spring and summer flooding and the White River Water Control Plan.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be closing one lane of the Highway 25 bridge across Greers Ferry Dam from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 2 through Sept. 4, 2025, for routine maintenance.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is scheduling a full road closure for Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Aug. 26 and Aug. 27, 2025, for routine maintenance.

    MKARNS Nav Notice 25-57 Caution Advisory - HWY 64 Bridge NM 300.4

    Mariners are advised that a hydrodemolition project is scheduled over the navigation span of the HWY 64 Bridge, NM 300.4, from 7 p.m. on August 16, 2025 to 7 a.m. on August 17, 2025. During this time mariners should contact the onsite workboat at VHF Channel 16 or 68, or by phone at (479) 629-2996 prior to arrival to coordinate a work stoppage to allow for safe passage under the bridge.

    MKARNS Nav Notice No. 25-56 Lock 4 Tow Haulage Out of Service

    The tow haulage equipment at Emmett Sanders (No. 04) NM 66.0 is currently out of service due to ongoing work. Double cut tows will have to be locked the conventional way (without the use of tow haulage). A follow up notice will be distributed when the tow haulage equipment is back in service.

    Temporary full road closure dates for Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam revised

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has revised the temporary full road closure dates scheduled for Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam. The road will now be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug.14, 2025. The previously scheduled closures on Aug. 12 and 13 have been canceled.
