Temporary full road closure of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is scheduling a full road closure for Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam from 6:30 a.m. July 9 until 5 p.m. July 11, 2024, to deploy and remove equipment used to perform maintenance on the dam.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Beaver Lake Project Office is closing the swim beach at Dam Site Lake Campground until further notice. The temporary closure is the result of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing conducted by project office personnel.
