    MKARNS Nav Notice No. SWL 24-62 Lock 3 Intermittent Delays

    Mariners should expect to experience intermittent delays at Joe Hardin Lock (No. 3) NM 50.2 beginning on September 17, 2024, and ending on September 20, 2024, from 6:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. each day. The intermittent delays are required to allow crews to conduct acoustic surveys in the lock chamber.

    Mobility impaired deer hunt applications available at Clearwater Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Clearwater Lake Project Office, announces that applications are available for their annual mobility impaired deer hunt for non-ambulatory hunters as well as our annual deer hunt for veterans with service-related disabilities.

    MKARNS Nav Notice No. SWL 24-61 Lock 10 Closure Update

    The partial lock closure for Dardanelle Lock (No. 10) NM 205.5, as stated in Nav Notice SWL 24-56, is currently in effect and scheduled to last until September 30th, 2024, Monday through Saturday each week.

    MKARNS Nav Notice No. SWL 24-60 Lock 12 Closure

    Mariners are advised that Ozark-Jeta Taylor Lock (No. 12) NM 256.8 will be closed to traffic beginning at 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on August 21, 2024. The lock closure is required to facilitate ongoing work on the hydraulic system.

    Temporary full road closure of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is scheduling a full road closure for Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam from 6:30 a.m. Aug 13 until 5 p.m. Aug 15, 2024, to deploy and remove equipment used to perform maintenance on the dam.

    Mariners are advised that the Van Buren Railroad Drawbridge (NM 300.8) will be out of service on August 10, 2024 and August 11, 2024, between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. each day.

    USACE announces location change for the Beaver Lake land acquisition willing seller meeting

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is hosting a willing seller meeting to discuss the potential purchase of low-lying property surrounding Beaver Lake which is either constantly or periodically inundated. The meeting will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. July 30, 2024, at the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, J.B. and Johnelle Hunt Family Ozark Highlands Nature Center, 3400 N 40th Street, Springdale, Arkansas.
