    MKARNS Nav Notice No. SWL 24-04 Lock 6 Intermittent Delays

    Mariners should expect to experience intermittent delays at David D. Terry Lock (No. 6) NM 108.1 beginning February 5 through February 8, 2024, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. daily. The intermittent delays are required to facilitate underwater dive operations near the Lock chamber.

    MKARNS Nav Notice No. SWL 24-03 MPLD Nav Pass Open

    Due to increased river elevations, the crest gate dam at Montgomery Point Lock and Dam (NM 0.5) is lowered and the navigation pass is open.   When the Montgomery Point Lock and Dam tailwater elevation drops below 115 ft., the navigation pass will be closed.

    MKARNS Nav Notice No. SWL 24-02 Lock 2 Closure

    Lock No. 2 (NM 13.3) will be closed to traffic beginning at 7 a.m. on February 5, 2024, until 7 p.m. on February 9, 2024. This is to allow workers to upgrade the lock interlock system which is an integral safety function of the Lock.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is scheduling a full road closure for Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam from 7 a.m. Jan. 16 until 5 p.m. Jan. 18, to deploy and remove equipment used to perform maintenance on the dam.

    MKARNS Annual Navigation Notice No. 1-2024

    As a result of partnering efforts with navigation stakeholders, the attached consolidated Notice to Navigation Interests has been prepared for the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System (MKARNS). The intent is to provide consistency by reviewing and informing current district regulations with a joint notice that will be updated annually. The notice is applicable to the Little Rock (SWL) and Tulsa (SWT) Districts.

    One lane of Highway 165/265 across Table Rock Dam to temporarily close

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be closing one lane of the Highway 165/265 bridge across Table Rock Dam and the Table Rock Auxiliary Spillway from Jan. 2 to Feb. 29 so work crews can conduct routine maintenance and repairs on both structures.
