    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Blue Mountain Lake Field Office has reopened the swim beach at Waveland Park.

    The Tainter valve equipment at Colonel Charles D. Maynard Lock (No. 5) NM 86.3 was repaired and the Lock is currently open to traffic.

    USACE park update and guidance on boat dock damage and hazard tree removal after weekend storms

    Until further notice from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Beaver Lake Project Office, the Prairie Creek and Horseshoe Bend campgrounds and day use areas are closed. The boat ramps for both locations will remain open. Rocky Branch campground is also closed however, the day use area and boat ramp remain open.

    Single lane closure rescheduled for Highway 177 across Norfork Dam

    To support recovery from recent storm damage in the Mountain Home area, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is rescheduling a single lane closure of Highway 177 across Norfork Dam from 7 a.m. May 29, 2024, to 7 a.m. June 3, 2024. The road will still be closed through late January 2025, for the scheduled routine maintenance. The duration of the closure may vary depending upon weather or site conditions.

    USACE lifts small craft advisory for Arkansas River

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is lifting the small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Small craft advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second. While flows have receded, USACE officials urge boaters to always exercise caution when on the river.

    USACE closes Beaver Lake campsites following severe storms

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Beaver Lake Project Office is closing Rocky Branch, Horseshoe Bend, and Prairie Creek campgrounds and picnic areas for safety reasons following Saturday night’s destructive storms.

    USACE reopens several swim beaches at Beaver Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Beaver Lake Project Office has reopened swim beaches at Hickory Creek, Horseshoe Bend Campground, Indian Creek, Lost Bridge South, Prairie Creek, Rocky Branch Day Use, Rocky Branch Campground, War Eagle, and Horseshoe Bend Day Use Area located on Beaver Lake.
