ASHDOWN, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers is extending the current drawdown on Millwood Lake until Sept. 2.
The lake was gradually drawn down to elevation 257.2 feet, which is two foot below the normal pool elevation. Because of recent rainfall the drawdown will now extend until Sept. 2 at which time the lake will be allowed to refill to its normal pool elevation of 259.2 feet.
Boaters should continue to exercise extra caution because more shallow areas and other unknown hazards may appear. Also, boaters should be cautious when launching boats during the drawdown.
