    MKARNS Nav Notice No. SWL 24-92 MPLD NavPass Closed

    Due to falling river elevations, the crest gate dam at Montgomery Point Lock and Dam (NM 0.5) is in operation and the navigation pass is closed. All vessels are required to pass through the lock until further notice.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers wants to remind the public that the seasonal regulating stage for the White River at Newport and Georgetown, Ark. will increase from 12 feet to 24 feet effective Dec. 1, 2024.

    USACE notifies residents of unexploded ordnance investigations and remediation near Camp Robinson

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is notifying residents near Camp Robinson of upcoming unexploded ordnance investigations and remediation efforts. These activities, scheduled to begin in January 2025 and continue through February 2025, are part of routine work under the Formerly Used Defense Site (FUDS) program.

    MKARNS Nav Notice No. SWL 24-90 Lock 6 Closure

    David D. Terry Lock (No. 6) NM 108.1 will be closed to traffic beginning at 7 a.m. on February 3, 2025, until 7 p.m. on February 7, 2025. This is to allow workers to upgrade the lock interlock system which is an integral safety function of the Lock.

    USACE issues small craft advisory for Arkansas River

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing a small craft advisory for the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System in Arkansas. Heavy rainfall in Eastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas over the last 24 hours is causing Arkansas River flows to exceed 70,000 cubic feet per second systemwide.
