  • MKARNS NAV Notice SWL 15-04 Postponement of lock closure Dardanelle Lock and Dam (No. 10) NM 205.5

    Dardanelle L&D - Due to hazardous working conditions, the scheduled closure of Dardanelle Lock and Dam (No. 10) NM 205.5, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m today, is being postponed to a later date. A separate Navigation Notice will be issued once repair to the downstream river wall miter gate strut arm is rescheduled.

  • CORPS PLANS PRESCRIBED BURNS

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – Personnel from the Army Corps of Engineers Mountain Home Project Office and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will be conducting prescribed burns on Corps land surrounding Bull Shoals and Norfork lakes. Prescribed burns will be conducted, when weather conditions are favorable, until the first week of April.

  • CORPS ANNOUNCES OPEN HOUSES FOR MASTER PLAN REVISIONS

    ROGERS, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District will hold three public open houses March 10-12 in Fayetteville, Rogers and Eureka Springs to discuss the master plan update process and seek input from the public on the draft Beaver Lake Master Plan. All interested persons are invited.

  • ONE LANE OF HIGHWAY 178 BRIDGE ACROSS BULL SHOALS DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE FOR EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION

    Mountain Home, Ark. – One lane of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam will be closed at 6:30 a.m. each Monday and remain closed until 5 p.m. each Thursday except federal holidays beginning Tuesday, Feb. 10 until Feb. 20 for equipment installation. Both lanes will be open Friday thru Sunday.

    RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Russellville Project Office announces that Annual Day Use Passes for 2015 are now available for purchase. They are for sale at: 1598 Lock and Dam Road in Russellville, 6298 Prince Street in Conway, and 6042 Lock and Dam Road in Ozark.

  • CORPS PLANS PRESCRIBED BURNING AROUND GREERS FERRY LAKE

    HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers Greers Ferry Project Office personnel in coordination with the Arkansas Forestry Commission and other state agencies will conduct prescribed burns in and around Greers Ferry Lake park areas when weather conditions are favorable during the next several months.

  • MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 15-03 Lock 10 Intermitttent Tow Haulage Availability

    Dardanelle L&D - Intermittent availability of tow haulage equipment at Dardanelle Lock and Dam (No. 10) NM 205.5 may be experienced from February 18 at 5:30 p.m. until March 31 at 7:00 p.m. to accommodate the concrete joint repair along the lock wall.

  • MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 15-01 TD 2015-1 Joint Notice on 2015 Scheduled Lock Closures

    MKARNS - Tulsa and Little Rock Districts are scheduling maintenance closures of the following locks: Chouteau L&D (May 11-17) Replace hydraulic piping; Webbers Falls L&D (Aug 24–Sep 14) Replace miter gate pintle ball; Montgomery Point L&D* (Aug 24-Sep 30) Replace miter gate gudgeon pins. *The navigation pass will be open if tailwater > 115 ft.

    Dardanelle L&D - Dardanelle Lock and Dam (No. 10) NM 205.5 will be closed to navigation traffic on February 18, 2015, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This closure is to repair the downstream river wall miter gate strut arm.
