ONE LANE OF HIGHWAY 177 ACROSS NORFORK DAM TO CLOSE FOR DAM MAINTENANCE
MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – One lane of Highway 177 across Norfork Lake will be closed at 7 a.m. Sept. 8 and remain closed through the end of the year to conduct maintenance on the dam’s 12 tainter gates.

LOCK TO REMAIN CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE, PERSONNEL UNABLE TO DEWATER
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers closed Murray Lock on the Arkansas River Aug. 30 through Sep. 4, so workers could “dewater” it to assess and repair the downstream lock gates but discovered maintenance issues that would not allow for the temporary dam to be set in place.

MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 15-60 Lock 07 Limited Commercial Lockages During Scheduled Maintenance Closure
Murray L&D (No.7)- The maintenance closure of Murray Lock & Dam (No. 7) is in effect through September 04, 2015. While completing the pre-dewater dive inspection, corrosion of critical safety equipment was discovered that precludes dewatering the lock. The maintenance focus has now shifted to above-waterline critical inspections and repairs. During this closure a very limited number of commercial lockages can be accommodated when maintenance is not underway. Any such lockage requires 24-hour advance notice and coordination with the Lockmaster.

CORPS REOPENS MOONSHINE BEACH SEPT. 2
BRANSON, Mo. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Table Rock Project Office announces the reopening of Moonshine Beach Sept. 2. The beach will be open from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily and will remain open until Sept. 15. The beach has been closed because of high water.

HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Greers Ferry Lake and Little Red River Association along with and the Army Corps of Engineers are seeking volunteers and sponsors to pitch in from 8 to 11 a.m. Sept. 12 during the 46th Annual Greers Ferry Lake and Little Red River Cleanup.

ONE LANE OF HIGHWAY 178 BRIDGE ACROSS BULL SHOALS DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE FOR BRIDGE INSPECTION
Mountain Home, Ark. – One lane of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam will close at 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Thursday to allow Corps officials to conduct an annual bridge and roadway inspection.
