    CORPS ANNOUNCES SEPTEMBER PROGRAMS AT DEWEY SHORT VISITOR CENTER

    BRANSON, Mo. - The Army Corps of Engineers Dewey Short Visitor Center at Table Rock Lake is offering several park ranger led programs through the end of September. All programs are free, open to the public, and registration is not required. Unless otherwise noted, programs begin at Dewey Short Visitor Center.

    HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers will close one lane of Highway 25 across Greers Ferry Dam Sept. 12-23 to repair monolith joints. The work will require an alternating lane closure midway through the project.

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers' Little Rock District has verified a nationwide permit allowing a portion of the Dawt Mill dam to be removed by its owners.

    ONE LANE OF HIGHWAY 59 ACROSS JAMES W. TRIMBLE LOCK AND DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE

    BARLING, Ark. – One lane of Highway 59 bridge across James W. Trimble Lock and Dam will be closed for inspection from 7:30 a.m. till 5:30 p.m. Aug. 31. The inspection will begin the afternoon of Aug. 30 but will not require a lane closure until Aug. 31.

    LOCK TO CLOSE FOR MAINTENANCE

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers will close David D. Terry Lock on the Arkansas River from 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29 until 6 p.m. Sep. 4, so workers can “dewater” it to assess and repair the downstream lock gates.

    HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Greers Ferry Project Office announces that day use swim beach in Dam Site Park has been retested and officials have determined that it is safe for public use.

    CORPS CLOSES SWIM BEACH IN DAM SITE PARK ON GREERS FERRY LAKE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

    HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers, Greers Ferry Project Office has closed the day use swim beach in Dam Site Park on Greers Ferry Lake until further notice. The beach is located on the right side of the causeway heading to “Trouble Island” in Dam Site Park. The temporary closure is the result of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing conducted by the Arkansas Department of Health.
