    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Little Rock District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is increasing releases from Norfork Dam to 49,600 cubic feet to begin at 10 a.m. today because of 10 inches of rain that fell yesterday within Norfork Lake’s drainage basin. With more rain in the forecast, larger releases could become necessary.

    PIEDMONT, Mo. – Heavy overnight rains fell over the Clearwater Lake drainage basin requiring discharges through the conduit to increase this morning to 4,000 cubic feet per second. Releases may be increased to as much as 10,000 c.f.s. The largest release ever made from Clearwater was 4,000 c.f.s. in 2011.

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers must close both lanes of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. April 28 to remove equipment on Bull Shoals Dam.
  • HEAVY RAINS FORECASTED FOR WHITE RIVER BASIN LAKES

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers is advising people in flood plains downstream of Beaver, Table Rock, Bull Shoals, and Norfork dams in northern Arkansas and southern Missouri as well as Greer Ferry Lake in central Arkansas to maintain awareness and monitor lake levels and the weather. These lakes’ flood pools are partially full from recent rains and more rain is forecast in coming days.
