    Special Ozark Isle youth muzzleloader deer hunt announced

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is taking applications from youth hunters who would like to participate in a special muzzleloader deer hunt Dec.12 and 13 in the Ozark Isle Park/Dry Run area on Bull Shoals Lake. Eight permits will be issued to hunter education graduates 15 years old and under.

    Corps issues small craft advisory for Arkansas River

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District is issuing a small craft advisory for the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System in Arkansas. Rainfall in eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas this week is causing flows on the system to rise.

    Highway 187 across Beaver Dam to temporarily close

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is closing both lanes of the Arkansas Highway 187 bridge across Beaver Dam from 9 a.m. Nov. 5 until 6 p.m. Nov. 6 to remove stoplogs from one of the dam's intake gates. If you are traveling in the area use Arkansas Highway 62 as an alternative route.

    MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 20-66 Caution Advisory Extended I-30 Bridge NM 118.5

    MKARNS - Mariners are advised that the scheduled completion date for the work(noted in Nav Notice SWL 20-44) on the left descending pier protection cell for the Interstate-30 Bridge at NM 118.5 in Little Rock has been extended to Feb 22, 2021.

    MKARNS - The sailing instruction for the downstream approach to Toad Suck Ferry Lock (No. 8) NM 155.9, as noted in Navigation Notice SWL 20-61 has been lifted.

    Corps to close Big Dam Bridge for inspection

    The Big Dam Bridge, across Murray Lock and Dam will be closed to all traffic from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Oct. 19 - 23 for a routine bridge inspection. Officials at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regret any inconvenience this may cause and ask for the public’s cooperation until the work is complete.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will temporarily close the campground at Old Post Road Park near Russellville, Arkansas from Oct. 15 through Dec. 31.

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers resumes collection of day use recreation fees

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District is resuming the collection of fees at several day use recreation areas. Fee collections were suspended earlier this year when recreation areas were closed due to COVID-19 precautions.
