The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will temporarily close the campground at Old Post Road Park near Russellville, Arkansas from Oct. 15
through Dec. 31.

The Russellville Site Office scheduled the closure to repair erosion damage that
occurred along the riverbank during the May 2019 Arkansas River high water event.
Visitors may continue to use the day use area during the closure. However, the
campground will be under construction and off limits.

“We are looking forward to getting the repairs done and reopening several sites
that have been closed since the record flood last year,” said Russellville Site Office
Supervisory Natural Resource Specialist Ryan King. “We regret the inconvenience and
thank everyone for their patience in advance.”
