• CORPS SETS SCOPING WORKSHOPS FOR GREERS FERRY LAKE SHORELINE MANAGEMENT PLAN UPDATE

    HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers is hosting Greers Ferry Lake Shoreline Management Plan scoping workshops Aug. 21-22 to share information about the update process and to collect public comments concerning shoreline activity around the lake.
  • CORPS TO RE-OPEN CRANFIELD PARK ON NORFORK LAKE

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – At 10 a.m. on Aug. 16 the Army Corps of Engineers, Mountain Home Project Office will open Cranfield Park on Norfork Lake. The park has been closed since early May because of high water.
  • Clearwater Lake Special Deer Hunts

    PIEDMONT, Mo. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Clearwater Lake, is proud to announce that applications are available for our annual mobility impaired deer hunt for non-ambulatory hunters as well as our annual wounded warrior deer hunt for veterans with service related disabilities. Both hunts will take place Nov. 9 and Nov. 10.

    HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – With the approval of the new master plan, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announces the moratorium at Greers Ferry Lake is lifted. The temporary lift of the moratorium starts Aug. 9 and ends Sept. 30.
  • Corps issues small craft advisory for Arkansas River

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Army Corps of Engineers issued a small craft advisory for the Arkansas River downstream of Van Buren, Arkansas. Overnight rainfall in west Arkansas have caused flows to rise. Small craft advisories are issued when flows exceed 70,000 cubic feet per second. During high flows, strong currents and large debris can threaten the safety of pleasure craft.

    ASHDOWN, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Millwood Tri-Lakes Project Office is temporarily closing access to Paraloma Recreation Area at 10 a.m. Aug. 12 to make repairs to the roadway. There is no completion date for the repairs
  • CORPS TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE RIVER RUN EAST PARK AT MILLWOOD LAKE

    ASHDOWN, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Millwood Tri-Lakes Project Office is temporarily closing access to River Run East Recreation Area at 8 a.m. Aug. 12 to make repairs to the Millwood Lake stilling basin. Depending on weather, the stilling basin work should be completed by Sept. 10.
