    CORPS SCHEDULES ROAD CLOSURE ACROSS BEAVER DAM

    ROGERS, Ark. - Work on Beaver Dam in Carroll County is scheduled to resume on April 30. A section of Arkansas Highway 187 that crosses the dam will be closed for three weeks so crews can perform required maintenance, weather permitting.

    CORPS LIFTS SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR ARKANSAS RIVER

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers has lifted the small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second. Even though flows have receded below that threshold, Corps officials urge boaters to always use caution when on the river.

    CORPS REMINDS PUBLIC OF DELAYED OPENING AT OAKLAND PARK UNTIL MAY 18

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers’ Mountain Home Project Office is reminding the public that the opening of Oakland Park on Bull Shoals Lake is being delayed. The park’s roads are currently being repaved which will delay opening day from May 1 to May 18, weather permitting.

    CORPS TO CLOSE TOAD SUCK LOCK DURING MAINTENANCE

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers will close Toad Suck Lock, near Conway, Ark. beginning at 7 a.m. April 11 through 7 a.m. April 14. During the closure maintenance will be conducted on the lock’s electrical controls.

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District opened five spillway gates today at Norfork Dam to supplement a hydropower turbine release as it lowers the lake.

    CONWAY, Ark. – One lane of Highway 60 bridge across Toad Suck Lock and Dam will be closed for inspection from 7 a.m. till 5 p.m. April 17.
