• CORPS THANKS VOLUNTEERS, BUSINESSES FOR CLEAN UP HELP

    PIEDMONT, Mo. -- The Army Corps of Engineers, Clearwater Lake Project Office employees in partnership with the League of Water Shed Guardians, the Missouri Department of Conservation, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and area volunteers spent Oct. 14-15, collecting nearly 70 cubic yards of trash from along the banks of a 6-mile stretch of the lower Black River below Clearwater Dam.

    HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers advises landowners adjacent to public lands on Greers Ferry Lake that survey and maintenance crews will be conducting surveys and performing boundary maintenance along several sections of government boundary in both Cleburne and Van Buren counties.

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers reminds motorists that both lanes of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam will close from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Oct. 23 and Oct. 24, weather permitting, to install equipment needed to refurbish the tainter gates on Bull Shoals Dam. However, one lane will remain closed from 7 p.m. until 8 a.m. each day.

    MKARNS - To ensure the safety of life and property on the navigable waters in the vicinity of Little Rock, Arkansas during the Six Bridges Regatta, a special local regulation will be established for the Arkansas River from NM 117.4 to NM 118.6. This regulation will be in effect from 4 p.m. on Oct. 13 until 5 p.m. on Oct. 14.

    HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers is reminding anyone interested in the Greers Ferry Lake Master Plan revision process concerning land classifications around the lake to submit their comments by Oct. 13.

    HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. -- Army Corps of Engineers officials ask those living near the lake to avoid unauthorized work on public property. They also remind lake users and landowners adjacent to Greers Ferry Lake that tying up boats along the shoreline and operating vehicles off authorized roadways on public property is prohibited.

Alternative route will be Highways 16 and 92 around the west side of the lake.
