    ASHDOWN, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers is taking applications from hunters ages 6-15 who want to participate in a special deer hunt Nov. 3 and Jan. 5, 2019 at Millwood Lake. Seven permits will be issued to young hunters who seek to experience the outdoors and have a great place to hunt that is normally closed to hunting.

    ROGERS, Ark. – Work on Beaver Dam in Carroll County is scheduled to resume on Sept. 18. A section of Arkansas Highway 187 that crosses Beaver Dam is scheduled to be closed for two weeks while crews work on the dam’s intake gate rehab project.

    ASHDOWN, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers, Millwood Project Office announces that Blue Ridge and Jefferson Ridge Park West Swim Beach on Dierks Lake, Coon Creek Swim Beach on Gillham Lake and Story Creek Swim Beach on DeQueen Lake have been retested and officials have determined that it is safe for public use.
