    Corps Schedules Public Workshop on Kings River Access

    BRANSON, Mo. – The Corps of Engineers’ Table Rock Project Office will hold a public workshop to exhibit proposed repairs to Kings River Access from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. July 25 at the First Baptist Church, 28563 State Highway J, Golden, Mo.

    Dewey Short Visitor Center Announces July Programs

    BRANSON, Mo.--Dewey Short Visitor Center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is located just south of Table Rock Dam on State Highway 165. The visitor center offers interactive displays, a 22 minute movie about the purpose and construction of the dam, as well as viewing decks overlooking Table Rock Lake and Dam. Picnic facilities and a 2.2 mile asphalt surface trail are located on the visitor center grounds. Park rangers will be offering the following interpretive programs and events at Dewey Short Visitor Center during the month of July. All programs are free of charge and no registration is required.

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. –Pop quiz. Which is more dangerous, walking down a dark alley just after midnight or skimming the surface of a lake in a motor boat on a sunny afternoon? Answer. One may be as bad as the other if you don’t wear a life jacket when you boat.

    MKARNS Nav Notice No. SWL 18-36 Lock 8 Tow Haulage Equipment Out of Service

    MKARNS - Tow haulage equipment at Toad Suck Ferry Lock (No. 8) NM 155.9 is out of service. Double cut tows will have to be locked the conventional way (without the use of tow haulage). The length of downtime is currently unknown.
