    CORPS URGES CAUTION AT NIMROD AND BLUE MOUNTAIN LAKES

    PLAINVIEW, Ark. – The Army Corp of Engineers is urging all visitors to both Nimrod and Blue Mountain lakes to exercise caution while lake levels are high. Campers and boaters visiting the park areas should be aware that certain recreation areas may be closed to the public for their protection. As the water recedes, some campsites and campsite loops will remain closed because of campsite rehabilitation work and roadway paving. The Corps hopes to complete the work before the Memorial Day holiday, weather permitting.

    Table Rock Lake Parks Open and Dewey Short Visitor Center Announces April Programs

    BRANSON, Mo. - The Army Corps of Engineers opened six of its recreation areas on Table Rock Lake April 1. These parks included Campbell Point, Cape Fair, Cricket Creek, Mill Creek, Old Highway 86, and Indian Point. Aunts Creek, Baxter, Big M, Eagle Rock, and Viola parks will open May 1. Moonshine Beach, which is a day-use only area, will open May 15.

    Corps issues small craft advisory for Arkansas River

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Army Corps of Engineers has issued a small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Recent rains in Oklahoma and Arkansas have caused flows to rise. During high flows, strong currents and large debris can threaten the safety of pleasure craft.
