    MKARNS - Colonel Charles D. Maynard Lock (No. 5) NM 86.3 has resumed 24 hour operations. Tow haulage is currently unavailable.

    MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 19-51 UPDATE - Shoaling Reported Between NM 23.1 and NM 24.6

    MKARNS - Mariners are now reporting that they are favoring the center line between Navigation Mile (NM) 23.1 (Cooks Point Light) and NM 24.6 (upstream of Ross Ferry Light) due to shoaling in the area. Mariners are advised to continue using caution in this area.

    CORPS REOPENS HORSESHOE BEND CAMPGROUND SWIM BEACH ON BEAVER LAKE

    ROGERS, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers, Beaver Project Office has reopened Horseshoe Bend campground swim beach on Beaver Lake. Bacteria levels are now within the acceptable range required by the Arkansas Department of Health which allows the swim beach to reopen.

    MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 19-50 Lock Reopened - Arthur V. Ormond (No 9) NM 176.9 - Limited Operating Hours

    MKARNS - Beginning July 04, 2019, the Arthur V. Ormond Lock (No 9) NM 176.9 will reopen to navigation traffic. Until further notice the lock will only be available for lockage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM each day, and tow haulage is currently unavailable.

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Independence Day holiday is typically one of the three busiest weekends of the year on the region’s lakes and rivers, and this year, will likely be no exception. It is a great time for outdoor water fun, but Army Corps of Engineers officials advise everyone to practice good water safety habits.
