    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers has lifted the small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second. Even though flows have receded below that threshold, Corps officials urge boaters to always use caution when on the river.

  • HIGHWAY 178 BRIDGE ACROSS BULL SHOALS DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers will close both lanes of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. June 6 and 7 to install equipment needed to refurbish the tainter gates on Bull Shoals Dam.

    RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers, Russellville Site Office has closed Piney Bay swim beach on Lake Dardanelle until further notice. The temporary closure is the result of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing conducted by the Arkansas Department of Health.
