  • CORPS ANNOUNCES OCTOBER PROGRAMS AT DEWEY SHORT VISITOR CENTER

    BRANSON, Mo. - The Army Corps of Engineers, Dewey Short Visitor Center at Table Rock Lake is offering several park ranger led programs through the end of October. All programs are free, open to the public, and registration is only required for the “Night at the Museum” program on Oct. 21. Unless otherwise noted, programs begin at Dewey Short Visitor Center.

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers will close both lanes of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Sept. 26 and Sept. 27 to install equipment needed to refurbish the tainter gates on Bull Shoals Dam.

    ASHDOWN, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers is taking applications from hunters ages 6-15 who want to participate in a special deer hunt Nov. 5 at Millwood Lake. Eight permits will be issued to young hunters who seek to experience the outdoors and have a great place to hunt that is normally closed to hunting.

However, they warn visitors to practice good water safety habits to avoid accidents that could result in serious injury or death.
