LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers’ Little Rock District, along with 13 other federal agencies, in conjunction with the Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center has extended registration through June 3 for the federal contracting forum, being held June 14-15, for businesses interested in working with federal agencies located in the Arkansas region.

Small and large businesses interested in previewing the current and future contracting requirements, networking with industry representatives and presenting a capability brief to representatives are invited to attend. Pre-registration, which has been extended through June 3, is required through the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://go.usa.gov/cuMqx.

During the forum federal agencies will conduct market research to establish acquisition plans to meet upcoming fiscal year 2016 and 2017 requirements, to provide unique information as well as an opportunity to partner with local contractors, and to foster interest in federal government contracting requirements.

It is also an opportunity for businesses to brief federal contracting representatives on its company's capabilities.

Federal agencies will present information that will heighten contractor's awareness on business opportunities, tips for success for small businesses, as well as unique requirements and qualifications required for complex projects.

The forum will also provide an opportunity for government agencies to network and forge partnerships with contractors as it addresses federal agencies perceptions and experiences working with large and small businesses based on reviews and feedback from customers.

The APAC will host a series of training sessions targeting both entry-level and experienced companies in government contracting.

Participating federal agencies include the Army Corps of Engineers’ Little Rock, Tulsa, Memphis and Vicksburg districts; the Corps’ Engineering, Research & Development Center, the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System; Little Rock Air Force Base 19th Contracting Squadron; the Army’s 63rd Regional Support Command; Pine Bluff Arsenal; National Park Service; Small Business Administration, Arkansas District; Food and Drug Administration’s National Center for Toxicological Research;  and the General Services Administration.
