ONE LANE OF HIGHWAY 59 ACROSS JAMES W. TRIMBLE LOCK AND DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE
BARLING, Ark. – One lane of Highway 59 bridge across James W. Trimble Lock and Dam will be closed for inspection from 7:30 a.m. till 5:30 p.m. Aug. 31. The inspection will begin the afternoon of Aug. 30 but will not require a lane closure until Aug. 31.

LOCK TO CLOSE FOR MAINTENANCE
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers will close David D. Terry Lock on the Arkansas River from 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29 until 6 p.m. Sep. 4, so workers can “dewater” it to assess and repair the downstream lock gates.

CORPS REOPENS SWIM BEACH AT DAM SITE PARK ON GREERS FERRY LAKE
HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Greers Ferry Project Office announces that day use swim beach in Dam Site Park has been retested and officials have determined that it is safe for public use.

CORPS CLOSES SWIM BEACH IN DAM SITE PARK ON GREERS FERRY LAKE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers, Greers Ferry Project Office has closed the day use swim beach in Dam Site Park on Greers Ferry Lake until further notice. The beach is located on the right side of the causeway heading to “Trouble Island” in Dam Site Park. The temporary closure is the result of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing conducted by the Arkansas Department of Health.

CORPS EXTENDS CLOSURE OF ONE LANE OF HIGHWAY 177 ACROSS NORFORK DAM FOR MAINTENANCE
MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers has extended the closure of one lane of Highway 177 across Norfork Lake, through Aug. 27, to conduct maintenance on the dam’s two power plant penstock gates.

ROGERS, Ark. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be conducting routine maintenance on Beaver Dam requiring intermittent lane closures of Arkansas State Highway 187, Aug. 12 through Aug. 14.

HIGHWAY 178 BRIDGE ACROSS BULL SHOALS DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE
MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers will close both lanes of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Aug. 18 and Aug. 19 to install equipment needed to refurbish the tainter gates on Bull Shoals Dam.

MKARNS - Mariners are advised that lockages at Dardanelle Lock (No. 10) NM 205.5, will require an additional 15 minutes each time the lock level is lowered to the downstream water level.
