    LACK OF FUNDS FORCES CORPS TO SUSPEND TABLE ROCK LAKE MASTER PLAN REVISION

    Because of the government shutdown, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District suspended all activities associated with the Table Rock Lake Master Plan revision until receipt of fiscal year 2014 appropriations.

    Because of the impacts of the government shutdown and lack of funding, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District will close the Dewey Short Visitor’s Center at Table Rock Lake in Branson until further notice.

    MKARNS - The recreational vessel lock closures are temporarily suspended until further notice. These closures normally occur Monday through Thursday to support maintenance activity.

    Due to falling river elevations, the crest gate dam at Montgomery Point Lock and Dam (NM 0.5) is in operation and the navigation pass is closed.

    CORPS KEEPS VISITOR CENTER OPEN THROUGH GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN USING PARTNERSHIP, VOLUNTEERS AND ARMY’S WOUNDED WARRIOR PROGRAM

    Branson, Mo. – The Army Corps of Engineers, Table Rock Project Office will continue operating the Dewey Short Visitor Center during the government shutdown. The visitor center is open from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m. daily.

    LITTLE ROCK DISTRICT PREPARING FOR POSSIBLE CLOSURE OF CORPS- OPERATED CAMPGROUNDS AND DAY-USE PARKS

    Little Rock, Ark. – The Little Rock District, Corps of Engineers is preparing for the closure of all Corps-operated campgrounds and day-use parks beginning Tuesday, Oct. 1, if the potential shutdown of the federal government goes into effect. Affected recreation areas would not reopen until after the shutdown is lifted.
