    CORPS LIFTS SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR ARKANSAS RIVER

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers has lifted the small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second. Even though flows have receded below that threshold, Corps officials urge boaters to always use caution when on the river.

    CORPS SEEKS COMMENTS ON DRAFT BEAVER LAKE MASTER PLAN AND SHORELINE MANAGEMENT PLAN UPDATES

    ROGERS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers is hosting Beaver Lake Master Plan and Shoreline Management Plan update workshops March 27 through March 29 to share the draft master plan, draft shoreline management plan, and associated environmental compliance documents with the public. We will also collect public comments during the workshops.

    MKARNS - Tow haulage equipment at Colonel Charles D. Maynard Lock (No. 5) NM 86.3 is out of service. Double cut tows will have to be locked the conventional way (without the use of tow haulage).

    ONE LANE OF HIGHWAY 178 BRIDGE ACROSS BULL SHOALS DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE TO COMPLETE MAINTENANCE

    Mountain Home, Ark. – One lane of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam will remain closed until Wednesday, March 14 to allow Corps officials to complete maintenance on the dam’s tainter gates.

    Corps’ Dewey Short Visitor Center Announces March Programs and Events

    BRANSON, Mo. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Dewey Short Visitor Center at Table Rock Lake is now open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A self-guided children’s activity area is available when the visitor center is open.

    CORPS TO CLOSE HIGHWAY 187 ACROSS BEAVER DAM DURING REPAIRS

    ROGERS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers is closing both lanes of the Arkansas Highway 187 bridge across Beaver Dam from 7:30 a.m. March 13 through 5 p.m. March 25 to remove and repair the dam’s intake gates. Alternative route will be Arkansas Highway 62.
