    Public Notice: Dardanelle Marina closed as of Dec. 31, 2025

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District closed Dardanelle Marina Dec. 31, 2025, due to the nonrenewal of the facility's lease. The district chose not to renew the lease with Dardanelle Marina because of ongoing public safety violations and failure to meet the lease conditions.

    The purpose of this Navigation Notice is to provide forecasted lock closures for the 110-ft Stoplog Conversion projects in 2026. The information below is considered tentative and the closure details could change depending on site conditions, construction means and methods and other variables.

    MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 25-91 MPLD Nav Pass Closed

    Due to falling river elevations, the crest gate dam at Montgomery Point Lock and Dam (NM 0.5) is in operation and the navigation pass is closed. All vessels are required to pass through the lock until further notice.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is scheduling a full road closure for Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Jan.13 through Jan.15, 2026, for routine maintenance.

    MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 25-90 MPLD Nav Pass Open

    Due to increased river elevations, the crest gate dam at Montgomery Point Lock and Dam (NM 0.5) is lowered and the navigation pass is open. When the Montgomery Point Lock and Dam tailwater elevation drops below 115 ft, the navigation pass will be closed. Vessels may contact Montgomery Point Lock and Dam on Channel 16 for further information.

    Due to shoaling, mariners are advised that until further notice, both upbound and downbound tows should favor the red buoys from NM 237.1 to NM 238.3.

    MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 25-87 MPLD Scheduled Lock Closure

    Montgomery Point Lock & Dam (NM 0.5) will be closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on December 8, 2025. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate dive crews to clear any remaining debris from the behind the downstream miter gates.

    Mongomery Point Lock & Dam (NM 0.5) has reopened to navigation traffic. However, the downstream river wall miter gate is failing to recess due to an obstruction behind the gate. Crews are continuing to work to resolve the issue.
