ROGERS, Ark. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is reopening the swim beach at Dam Site Island on Beaver Lake.
The temporary closure was a result of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing conducted by field office personnel. Two acceptable water samples are required by the Arkansas Department of Health prior to reopening a swim beach.
To check the status of other swim beaches at Beaver Lake contact the project office at 479-636-1210 or visit www.swl.usace.army.mil/Home/Swim-Beach-Closures/.
