RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. -- RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District is temporarily closing the docks at Russellville Marina, effective July 8, 2026, due to safety hazards and unmet terms of the facility's Commercial Concessions Lease Agreement. The repair shop, store and cabins, will remain open.
The marina sustained extensive damage during the winter storm in February 2026. This damage, compounded by deferred maintenance required USACE to restrict access to unsafe structures. USACE subsequently required the operator to complete a corrective action plan to restore safe access to the docks. That plan has not been fully completed, and the docks will remain closed until outstanding requirements are met.
All vessels and personal property must be removed from the affected dock areas to allow repair work to proceed. Sailboat Dock A is closed but owners are not required to remove their boats. Houseboat owners should contact the marina operator for more information about potentially relocating within the marina’s leased area.
USACE personnel will be on site to assist boat owners with access to the marina July 9-10 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., and July 11 from 9 a.m. to noon. After July 11, boat owners must contact the Russellville Site Office to schedule an appointment for boat removal during weekday hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The site office can be reached at 501-340-1762.
