  • MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 26-17 Scheduled Lock Closure (Multiple Locations)

    A partial lock closure is scheduled for James A. Trimble Lock (No.13) NM 292.8, Ozark Jetta-Tayor Lock (No. 12) NM 256.9, Dardanelle Lock (No. 10) NM 205.5, Arthur V. Ormond Lock (No. 9) NM 176.9, Toad Suck Lock (No. 8) NM 155.9, and Murray Lock (No. 7) NM 125.4 beginning June 15th, 2026, through September 30th, 2026. During this time, the Locks will be closed daily between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. The Locks will be opened to traffic each night between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., however a 70-ft width restriction will be in place.
  • MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 26-16 Caution Advisory NM 291.6 I-49 Bridge

    Mariners are advised that bridge construction falsework is located in the river at NM 291.6, downstream of James W. Trimble Lock and Dam (No. 13). These obstructions will be in place intermittently during the I-49 Bridge construction and may be submerged depending on river conditions.
  • USACE issues small craft advisory for Arkansas River

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing a small craft advisory for the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System in Arkansas. Heavy rainfall in eastern Oklahoma last week has resulted in Arkansas River flows exceeding 70,000 cubic feet per second at Trimble Lock and Dam.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is scheduling a full road closure for Highway 25 across Greers Ferry Dam from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 3 for routine maintenance.
  • MKARNS NAVNOT 26-15 Lock 9 Repair Closure

    Mariners are advised that Arthur V. Ormond (No. 9) NM 176.9 will be closed to traffic beginning at 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on April 21st, 2026. The lock closure is required to facilitate ongoing work on the miter gate operational equipment.
  • USACE to temporarily close boat ramp at Tucker Hollow

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is temporarily closing the Tucker Hollow boat ramp and the surrounding area on Bull Shoals Lake Apr.13 for one day. The closure is necessary for contract crews to complete essential paving and construction work around the ramp.
