RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Russellville Site Office has launched a QR code payment system to give visitors a faster, more convenient way to purchase activity passes at USACE-managed campgrounds along the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System.
Visitors can scan a QR code with a smartphone to purchase day-use passes, one-time dump station access and the USACE Annual Day Use Pass.
The system supports USACE’s ongoing effort to modernize visitor services across its recreation areas.
Crews have placed QR code signs at park entrances, swim beaches and boat ramps along the Arkansas River corridor from Little Rock to Fort Smith.
Visitors can scan the code, complete their purchase through Recreation.gov and display proof of purchase on their mobile device.
Visitors without smartphones can purchase passes in advance at Recreation.gov and print them for display on their vehicle’s dashboard. The Russellville Site Office encourages visitors to share feedback as the program expands across recreation areas.
