USACE lifts small craft advisory for Arkansas River
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lifts the small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Small-craft advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second. While flows have receded, USACE officials urge boaters to always use caution when on the river.
Cherokee Park reopening April 15

Sawrie named Chief of Contracting
Jonathan J. Sawrie was recently named the chief of contracting for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District. Sawrie replaces Sandra Easter who retired from federal service in December 2020.

MKARNS - The U.S. Coast Guard has advised that the navigation channel will be closed under the I-430 Bridge, NM 126.6, from 7am to 7pm daily, 6 – 10 April.
