    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers has lifted the small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second. Even though flows have receded below that threshold, Corps officials urge boaters to always use caution when on the river.
  • CORPS CLOSES WAVELAND PARK SWIM BEACH AT BLUE MOUNTAIN LAKE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

    HAVANA, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers, Blue Mountain Project Office has closed Waveland Park swim beach until further notice. The temporary closure is the result of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing conducted by the Arkansas Department of Health.
  • CORPS ISSUES SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR ARKANSAS RIVER

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Army Corps of Engineers has issued a small craft advisory for the Arkansas River in Arkansas because recent heavy rains in Kansas and Oklahoma have caused flows to rise. Another round of heavy rains are expected in the Tulsa area tonight which will cause the flows to continue to rise. During the high flows, strong currents and large debris can threaten the safety of pleasure crafts.

    Branson, Mo. -- The Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District will hold four open houses Aug. 14-17 in Shell Knob, Kimberling City and twice in Branson to discuss and seek input on the draft Table Rock Master Plan. All interested persons are invited.
