  • USACE to temporarily close boat ramp at Devils Fork Park

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is temporarily closing the boat ramp at Devils Fork Park on Nov. 8 and 9 so construction crews can re-surface the lower parking lot near the boat ramp. USACE asks boaters to use the corrugated boat ramps at nearby parks until the work is complete. 
  • USACE announces temporary lane and parking area closures for Cooks Landing

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is scheduling temporary lane and parking area closures for Cooks Landing. Road construction on the entrance to Cooks Landing is currently underway. Lane closures and parking area closures will begin Oct. 17. Traffic will be controlled by cones and signage. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through construction zones.
  • Special Dierks Lake youth deer hunt announced

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is taking applications from youth hunters who would like to participate in a special modern gun deer hunt Nov. 5 and 6 at Dierks Lake.
  • Warning horn below Beaver Dam fully restored

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers restored the warning horn at Beaver Dam this week. USACE installed a temporary horn after the main one went offline in February.
  • USACE seeks volunteers for cleanup at Millwood Lake

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Millwood Lake Project Office will host a shoreline cleanup as part of the Great American Cleanup, on May 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cleanup will be held in cooperation with Millwood Lake State Park. Volunteers interested in assisting should check in between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. at the Millwood Overlook located at 1140 Hwy 32 East, Saratoga AR, 71859.
  • May 22-27 declared as Safe Boating Week in Arkansas

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District in partnership with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the Coast Guard Auxiliary attended a Safe Boating Week Proclamation ceremony where Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson declared May 22-27 as Safe Boating Week in the Natural State.
  • Temporary lane closures of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam and Highway 177 across Norfork Dam

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – One lane of the Highway 178 bridge across Bull Shoals Dam will close from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Aug. 25 and one lane of the Highway 177 bridge across Norfork Dam will close from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Aug. 26 to conduct routine bridge inspections.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mountain Home Project Office will reopen Cranfield Park on Norfork Lake at 10 a.m., July 26.
  • USACE announces mobility impaired deer hunt applications available at Clearwater Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Clearwater Lake Project Office, is announcing that applications are available for their annual mobility impaired deer hunt for non-ambulatory hunters as well as our annual deer hunt for veterans with service-related disabilities. Both hunts will take place on the same dates Nov. 6 and 7.
  • USACE issues small craft advisory for Arkansas River

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District is issuing a small craft advisory for the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System in Arkansas. Rainfall in Oklahoma and Kansas over the last few days is causing flows on the system to rise.
