    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers has lifted the small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Advisories are issued when flows reach 70,000 cubic feet per second. Even though flows have receded below that threshold, Corps officials urge boaters to always use caution when on the river.

    Branson, Mo. -- The Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District will hold four open houses Aug. 14-17 in Shell Knob, Kimberling City and twice in Branson to discuss and seek input on the draft Table Rock Master Plan. All interested persons are invited.
  • CORPS CLOSES THREE SWIM BEACHES AT NORFORK AND

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers, Mountain Home Project Office has closed three swim beaches on Norfork and Bull Shoals Lakes until further notice. The beaches affected are Lead Hill and Oakland Beaches on Bull Shoals Lake, as well as Panther Bay Beach on Lake Norfork. The temporary closure is the result of higher than acceptable E. coli levels that were found during routine testing conducted by the Arkansas Department of Health.

  • ONE LANE OF HIGHWAY 177 ACROSS NORFORK DAM TO TEMPORILY CLOSE FOR DAM MAINTENANCE

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – One lane of Highway 177 across Norfork Lake will be closed at 6:30 a.m. each Monday and remain closed until 6 p.m. each Thursday except federal holidays beginning Monday, June 24 for about 180 days to conduct maintenance on the dam’s tainter gates. Both lanes will be open Friday thru Sunday.
  • Corps defers shoreline activity requests

    Mountain Home, Ark. -- As a result of budget constraints the Army Corps of Engineers Mountain Home Project Office will defer all new requests for shoreline use from May 1, until Oct. 1. Written requests or applications will not be accepted during the deferral period.
  • LANE CLOSURE ACROSS TABLE ROCK DAM EXTENDED UNTIL MAY 8

    BRANSON, Mo. – The Army Corps of Engineers is extending the time that one lane of Highway 165/265 between Table Rock Lake’s dam and spillway will be closed. One lane will be closed until 6 p.m. May 8 while core borings are drilled along the dam’s embankment.

    RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers is advising landowners adjacent to public lands on Lake Dardanelle that survey crews will soon be conducting boundary line maintenance along the government boundary.
  • CORPS TO DEFER PERMIT REQUESTS FOR SUMMER AT BEAVER LAKE

    ROGERS, Ark. - As a result of budget constraints the Army Corps of Engineers Beaver Lake Project Office will defer all new requests for shoreline use permits until Oct. 1 allowing the Corps to shift its resources to support park operation and maintenance during the summer recreation season.

    PLAINVIEW, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers announces the 2013 Camping Fee Schedule for the Nimrod Project Office. This fee schedule was effective beginning March 1.
