    MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 21-33 Lock 12 Downstream Land Wall Miter Gate Obstruction

    MKARNS - Due to an underwater obstruction, the downstream land wall miter gate at Ozark-Jeta Taylor Lock (No. 12) NM 256.8 is unable to properly recess.

    USACE and Ozarks Water Watch announce the 21st Annual Shoreline Clean-Up Event celebrating National Public Lands Day

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District and Ozarks Water Watch are seeking volunteers to participate in the 21st Annual Shoreline Clean-up event in conjunction with National Public Lands Day. The event will take place at Table Rock Lake, Lake Taneycomo and Bull Shoals Lake Sept. 18-19 and 25-26.

    Additional interim risk reduction measures to be implemented for Beaver Dam

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District is announcing interim risk reduction measures for Beaver Dam that will begin on Jan. 1, 2022. The new measures will allow engineers to lower the water levels behind Beaver Dam more efficiently following a significant rainfall event. Additionally, if conditions allow, the measures will also reduce the amount of time engineers have to regulate the White River at 12 feet near Newport, Arkansas.

    USACE postpones temporary lane closures of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam and Highway 177 across Norfork Dam until further notice

    Lane closures scheduled for the Highway 178 bridge across Bull Shoals Dam on August 25th, and the Highway 177 bridge across Norfork Dam on August 26th have been postponed until further notice.

    Temporary lane closures of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam and Highway 177 across Norfork Dam

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – One lane of the Highway 178 bridge across Bull Shoals Dam will close from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Aug. 25 and one lane of the Highway 177 bridge across Norfork Dam will close from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Aug. 26 to conduct routine bridge inspections.

    Little Rock, Ark. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District is again extending the scoping comment period for the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System’s Master Plan revision. Comments will now be accepted until Aug. 27.
