    Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that James Fork Regional Water District, PO Box 1180, Greenwood, Arkansas 72923 has requested authorization for the placement of dredged and fill material in waters of the United States associated with construction of a 230-acre lake. This will be the Phase II expansion of their existing lake. The project would include construction of two earthen dams, with a principal spillway and an emergency spillway. The depth of the lake would be approximately 45 feet. The proposed project is located in James Fork Creek, Posey Creek, and unnamed tributaries of Cherokee Creek, in sections 19 and 20, T. 4 N., R. 31 W., Sebastian County, Arkansas.

    Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that Mr. Lancet Lamb, Twin Oak Farms, 422 Hampton Rd., Pocahontas, AR 72455 has requested authorization for the placement of dredged and fill material in waters of the United States associated with mechanically clearing three wetlands, incorporating them into the surrounding 209.4-acre farm field. The proposed project is located in the SE 1/4 of section 27, T. 20 N., R. 2 E., Pocahontas, Randolph County, Arkansas.

    Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that Mr. Jason Lott, Superintendent, Ozark National Scenic Riverways, 404 Watercress Drive, P.O. Box 490, Van Buren, Missouri 63965 has requested authorization for the placement of dredged and fill material in waters of the United States associated with periodic gravel removal from the Akers Ferry site. The proposed project is located in the Current River, in the NW 1/4 of section 24, T. 31 N., R. 6 W., Eminence, Shannon County, Missouri. The basic purpose of the project is to provide Missouri Highway K a crossing of the Current River. The overall purpose of the project is to provide enough draft to allow the continued operation of Akers Ferry, which was first built in 1949 during extension of Hwy K.

  • 2021 NWP Reissuance (MO)

    On December 27, 2021, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) published a final rule in the Federal Register (86 FR 73522) announcing the reissuance of 40 existing nationwide permits (NWPs) and one new NWP, as well as the reissuance of NWP general conditions and definitions with some modifications. These 41 NWPs will go into effect on February 25, 2022, and will expire on March 14, 2026.
