Pursuant to Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S. Code 403) and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that, Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD), PO Box 2261, Little Rock, Arkansas 72203-2261, has requested authorization for the placement of dredged and fill material in waters of the United States associated with dredging and widening approximately 643 linear feet of Crooked Creek. The proposed project is located on Crooked Creek immediately upstream and downstream from the Interstate 30 (I-30) Bridge, in the SW 1/4 of section 8, T. 1 S., R. 13 W., Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas. The basic purpose of the project is to increase flow by creating a wider stream channel without obstructions. The overall purpose of the project is to reduce flooding on Interstate 30 between Vimy Ridge Road and the Saline County Line. The project is water dependent.

Pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344), notice is hereby given that, Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department, P.O. Box 2267, Little Rock, Arkansas 72203-2400, has requested authorization for the placement of dredged and fill material in waters of the United States associated with construction of a bypass road between State Highway 16 and U.S. Highway 67/167. A total of 790 linear feet of streams and 1.0 acre of wetlands would be impacted by the proposed project. The proposed project is located in wetlands directly abutting an unnamed tributary to Rocky Branch, Rocky Branch, and an unnamed tributary to Rocky Branch, in sections 2 and 3, T. 7 N., R. 7 W., sections 31 and 32, T. 8 N., R. 6 W., and sections 33, 34, 35, and 36, T. 8 N., R. 7 W., Searcy, White County, Arkansas. The basic purpose of the project is to relieve traffic issues in Searcy, Arkansas. The overall purpose of the project is to allow traffic to avoid Race Street and Beebe Capps Expressway, thus relieving traffic numbers on both roadways. The project would allow drivers traveling from the north and drivers traveling from U.S. Highway 67/167 to bypass traffic in downtown Searcy. The project would also provide traffic on the west side of Searcy better access to U.S. Highway 67/167.

On June 10, 2010, the US Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock, Memphis, and Vicksburg Districts issued a regional general permit, which would authorize the construction of exploration and production wells for oil and gas and their supporting fills and structures in waters of the United States. As lead Corps District in the state, Little Rock District is responsible for coordinating advertisement and review of comments on this statewide regional general permit. The authority for permit issuance is found in Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S. Code 403) and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S. Code 1344). Corps districts are authorized to develop regional general permits in accordance with Title 33, Code of Federal Regulations Parts 325.2(e)(2) and 325.5(c)(1). This regional general permit has proven to be successful in authorizing a minor, noncontroversial category of work that has had no significant individual or cumulative adverse environmental impacts, and we propose to reissue the regional general permit for an additional five (5) years. Seventy-six (76) projects have been approved under this regional general permit since June 10, 2010.

The project site includes unnamed tributaries to Turkey Creek, and is located in portions of sections 27, 28, 33, and 34, T. 22 N., R. 21 W., Hollister, Taney County, Missouri. The basic purpose of the project is to construct a golf course. The overall purpose of the project is to expand the existing Murder Rock Golf Course to 18 holes and create numerous water features within the course.

The proposed project is located in approximately 5.2 acres of forested wetlands, in the NE 1/4 of section 7, T. 13 N., R. 2 W., Centerville, Jackson County, Arkansas. The basic purpose of the project is to increase agricultural efficiency. The overall purpose of the project is increase the overall area of a property that can be utilized for crop production near Tuckerman.
