  • NAV NOTICE SWL 13-21 - MKARNS USCG SAFETY ZONE CANCELLED

    LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Safety Zone previously established by the Coast Guard for June 1, 2013, has been cancelled. The Arkansas River Canoe and Kayak Race will now take place on the Little Maumelle River, due to high flows on the MKARNS. There will be no restrictions to navigation traffic.

  • NAV NOTICE SWL 13-20 MKARNS - INTERMITTENT DELAYS POSSIBLE

    MURRAY L&D - Mariners are advised that intermittent delays may be experienced at Murray Lock and Dam (No. 7) NM 125.4 from June 3, 2013 through June 6, 2013, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., while repair of the parapet wall takes place.

  • NAV NOTICE SWL 13-19 MKARNS - SAFETY ZONE/RIVER CLOSURE

    LITTLE ROCK, AR The Coast Guard has established a Safety Zone for the Arkansas River on June 1, 2013, from mile marker 124.0 to 118.0, in support of the Arkansas River Canoe and Kayak Race. The Safety Zone will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • NAV NOTICE SWL 13-18 MKARNS - CHANGE IN HOURS FOR DAILY CLOSURES

    JAMES W. TRIMBLE L&D - Mariners are advised that James W. Trimble Lock and Dam (No. 13) NM 292.8 will be closed to navigation traffic from 12 noon until 4 p.m. on June 3, 2013, and from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on June 4 and June 5.

  • NAV NOTICE SWL 13-17 MKARNS - NOTICE OF SAFETY ZONE - RIVERFEST FIREWORKS DISPLAY

    LITTLE ROCK, AR - To ensure the safety of life and property on the navigable waters during the Riverfest fireworks display, a safety zone will be established by the Coast Guard for the Arkansas River from mile marker 118.8 to mile marker 119.5. The safety zone will be in effect from 9:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on May 26, 2013.

  • NAV NOTICE SWL 13-16 MKARNS - NOTICE OF TEMPORARY DELAYS

    OZARK-JETA TAYLOR L&D - Short, intermittent delays may be experienced at Ozark-Jeta Taylor Lock and Dam (No. 12), NM 256.8, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, May 8 through June 6, while replacement of electrical cabling takes place.
